Fried Mushrooms and Chestnuts with aged Clos de Vougeot
Both mushrooms and chestnuts are very popular ingredients, so it is a match made in heaven to combine these in one dish. Mushrooms are richly flavoured yet tender and the chestnuts are sweet and soft. The sous bois and farmyard notes from an aged Clos de Vougeot would pair very well with the mushroom and nutty notes from this dish.
